Deciphering Coffee Languages & Labels
Coffee labels can be confusing. From bags of beans to café menus, terms like “Fair Trade,” “Direct Trade,” “Bird Friendly,” and “Rainforest Alliance” are everywhere, but what do they mean? And does a “USDA Organic” label really guarantee better farming practices? In this session, we’ll break down some of the most common certifications and claims to help you make more informed choices when buying coffee. We’ll also do a demo brew of a few coffees processed in different ways and taste the results together at the end.
